Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2025

By installing or using the Corollary Chrome extension ("the Extension") or any associated services ("Corollary Cloud"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.

1. What Corollary provides

Corollary is an AI writing assistant that integrates with Overleaf. It includes:

2. Acceptable use

You may use Corollary for any lawful purpose. You may not:

3. Intellectual property

The Extension's source code is available on GitHub under the licence stated in the repository. The name "Corollary" and the extension icon are not licensed for reuse without permission.

All content you provide to the AI (your LaTeX text, prompts, and documents) remains yours. We make no claim over it.

4. AI-generated output

AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before incorporating it into your work. Corollary does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI response.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of AI writing assistance complies with the academic integrity policies of any institution you are affiliated with.

5. Third-party providers

When you use Corollary with a third-party API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Gemini, or Ollama Cloud), your use is also subject to that provider's terms of service. Corollary has no control over those services and is not responsible for their availability or behaviour.

6. Pro subscription and refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Lemon Squeezy. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis for unused periods — contact corollary@grimvier.com.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any cloud features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of breaking changes. We are not liable for any loss caused by unavailability of the service.

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Extension and Corollary Cloud are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corollary's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Extension or Corollary Cloud shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.
