Terms of Service
By installing or using the Corollary Chrome extension ("the Extension") or any associated services ("Corollary Cloud"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Extension.
1. What Corollary provides
Corollary is an AI writing assistant that integrates with Overleaf. It includes:
- A free tier using local inference (Ollama) and bring-your-own API keys.
- A free trial of 30 Corollary Cloud requests per device per month, requiring no account.
- A paid Pro tier ($8/month or $80/year) providing 400 Premium-model requests/month and 50 Fast-track requests/day on Corollary Cloud, activated by a license key.
- A paid Max tier ($20/month or $200/year) providing the same monthly Premium quota plus access to top-tier models (Claude Opus, GPT-5.5 Pro, Gemini 3.1 Pro) and 100 Fast-track requests/day.
Specific monthly limits, daily caps, model whitelists, and per-minute rate limits are published at /upgrade and may be adjusted with reasonable notice as upstream costs change.
2. Acceptable use
You may use Corollary for any lawful purpose. You may not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or abuse the Corollary Cloud service or licensing system.
- Share or resell your Pro or Max license key.
- Use the service to generate content that violates applicable law or the policies of the academic institutions you submit work to.
- Automate requests to Corollary Cloud at a volume that constitutes abuse.
3. Intellectual property
The Extension's source code is available on GitHub under the licence stated in the repository. The name "Corollary" and the extension icon are not licensed for reuse without permission.
All content you provide to the AI (your LaTeX text, prompts, and documents) remains yours. We make no claim over it.
4. AI-generated output
AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before incorporating it into your work. Corollary does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI response.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of AI writing assistance complies with the academic integrity policies of any institution you are affiliated with.
5. Third-party providers
When you use Corollary with a third-party API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Gemini, or Ollama Cloud), your use is also subject to that provider's terms of service. Corollary has no control over those services and is not responsible for their availability or behaviour.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Pro and Max subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record (and handle VAT and sales tax accordingly). You may cancel at any time from the customer portal (/account); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and access continues until then.
We offer a no-questions-asked refund within 14 days of purchase. After that, refunds for unused periods are handled case-by-case — contact corollary@grimvier.com with your order ID.
Upgrades and downgrades between Pro and Max are processed by Lemon Squeezy with proration. A new license key is issued and emailed; the previous key remains valid until the end of its billing period.
7. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension or any cloud features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of breaking changes. We are not liable for any loss caused by unavailability of the service.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Extension and Corollary Cloud are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Corollary's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Extension or Corollary Cloud shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.
